Optometrist Frank Scolinos, OD, established Crossroads Optometry in Torrance, California, in 1996.
Dr. Scolinos graduated with a degree in biological sciences from Cal Poly Pomona and obtained his graduate degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He then completed a research fellowship at the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas.
He is a proud member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the South Bay Optometric Society. Dr. Scolinos has also served on several committees, including the Peer Review and Quality Assurance Committees of Cambridge Vision Services, PacifiCare Vision, and Superior Vision Services.
Dr. Scolinos has been involved with clinical studies for the following companies: Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Alcon Laboratories, Inc., CIBA Vision, CooperVision®, Bausch + Lomb, Vistakon, and many others. He currently provides consulting services for Alcon and has been integral in the marketing and fitting of the Air Optix Colors contact lenses for the beauty and fashion industry.
He is certified to treat glaucoma and implements the latest technology available for ophthalmic and contact lenses. He provides consultation services for LASIK, PRK, the Kamra Inlay, refractive lens exchange, and post-cataract intraocular lens options. Dr. Scolinos is proficient in the fitting of multifocal and bifocal contact lenses, and provides specialty contact lens fittings for keratoconus, aphakia, post corneal transplants, and corneal ectasia.
